About Kim (and Sydney)

My name is Kim Petersen, and I have worked in the pet grooming industry for over six years. I have noticed a real need to teach dog and cat owners how to keep their pets’ coats, ears, and nails in good condition. I have taught basic grooming to the Girl Scouts, at the Humane Society, and through Adult Education. I was a certified prepping and bathing instructor with Madeline’s Pet Grooming for several years. My love is working with dogs, cats, and the occasional rabbit. I am currently a partner at Woofie Walkers, a dog walking service in the South Bay. As of January 2008, I have completed all training required for Pet CPR certification.

Pictured with me is Sydney, my Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is smart, beautiful and reminds me every day why I love working with animals. She is the most patient dog I have ever met. She has been my model when I have taught my class and has put even the most nervous students at ease. When she was a puppy I was told by a puppy class teacher that she was not a good fit for my family... Boy, she could not have been more wrong.
